Michael Chen writes the kind of code that is still readable two years later, and has been teaching people to do the same for eight of his ten years in the industry. He is a senior engineer at Halcyon Labs and a maintainer on several open source projects, which is where most of his examples come from.
His courses are full applications rather than isolated exercises: routing, data, authentication, deployment, and the awkward parts in between. Students finish with something running on a real domain and a git history that shows how it got there.
