David Wilson is a research scientist at DeepMind with more than twenty papers at NeurIPS, ICML and CVPR. Nine years of it, and he is unusually willing to say which results did not reproduce, which is most of what makes his courses worth taking.
He teaches deep learning from the tensor up: what the gradient is doing, why the architecture is shaped that way, and how to tell a model that has learned something from one that has memorised the test set. Vision and language both, in PyTorch, with the training runs left in.
